I’m so glad you stopped by.
You are probably my clients if…
Hi - I’m Caity
I've always been an observer. I've always loved people. I've always loved photos. I guess I was never very good at math because I clearly couldn't put that all together very easily. It took a few years of travelling and trying to choose my path, before my path chose me. I studied Photojournalism in Victoria at Western Academy of Photography and graduated in 2010.
Recently my family and I moved to Port McNeill, on Vancouver Island. I am currently booking weddings and other sessions all over the Island. I would love to hear from you regardless of your location - I love to travel!
If you must know... Becoming a Mum is the hardest and most wonderful journey I've ever embarked on! I love travel, warm hugs, and giant mugs of tea. I LOVE fishing! Green is the most magnificent colour. My family is amazing. I am happiest next to the ocean. My favorite pair of shoes are my yellow wellies. Addicted to tomatoes, sushi, and humus, but not all together. Lepas Bay is the most beautiful place in the world. My favorite animal is the manatee. I dream of driving a VW Van across Canada. I would choose thunder and lightning over 30 degree weather. Paul Simon always makes me smile and a gingersnap will always be the perfect dessert! And I love to snuggle my dogs, Trigger and Kevin.
If you love adventures, the great outdoors, beautiful landscapes, abandoned buildings, getting a little dirty, braving the elements, all or just some of these good things, GET IN TOUCH NOW! I live for this. Let me be the one to capture your adventure/love story/circus/monkeys.
Common questions go here, because weddings can be a crazy time and you might even forget to ask these questions. If you think of any others, fire away! The goal is for this to be an easy decision for you!
HECK YES! I love that elopements are becoming more sought after! They are totally my jam, and I want in on yours! Let me know your plans!
DO you travel?
Of Course I do!! I am currently based in Port McNeill, BC but I travel the length of Vancouver Island often, as well as visiting Northern BC. So basically - I will go anywhere you ask.
That being said, life with a toddler is full on. We are learning to juggle this parenting / work life still and I will be taking on fewer weddings that require travel each year. If you are eloping or getting married far away get in touch and I will see what my calendar looks like!
Do you have a preferred Vendors list?
I have worked with so many of the wedding industry greats! I would love to share these names with you. Be sure to tell me which shoes you are looking to fill in your area and I will give you all my recommendations!
How many Images will we receive and how long does it take?
Typically, I deliver 60-70 images per hour of a wedding day - that runs around 500 images for a full day. You will receive high resolution images and for optimal printing quality, seek out a professional grade printer. (I can also help with this!)
Images are delivered 6-10 weeks after the wedding. BUT you will see several teasers on Instagram and Facebook throughout that time.
Do you recommend a second photographer?
I am mainly a one woman show, but I thoroughly enjoy bringing on a second photographer for day of coverage. I definitely recommend it. I have an impressive list of go-to's for this job! Having another professional there with me ensures that you get even more angles covered, and even more moments are captured.
SHould we do an engagement session?
Yes yes yes! 90% of my clients tell me they are unphotogenic or awkward. This is why you are hiring a professional! I'm almost certain you aren’t in fact awkward, so let me prove this to you during the engagement session. You will get to know me (and all my quirks) and together we will make magic. You are investing a lot in these images, so it always helps to take out the jitter before the big show.
How Do we book you?
Oh heck yes!! You've decided we are a good fit together and I'm pretty excited about it! Let’s grab a coffee and get started! I will send you a contract to sign and I do require a $500 non-refundable retainer to lock it all in place!
Let's make some magic!
